福岡市は、福岡県西部の県庁所在地であり、日本で5番目に大きな市です。
福岡は古くから大陸との交流点でした。1世紀に中国の皇帝より日本の王に贈られた金印は今市の博物館で見られます。現在は韓国のプサンに高速フェリーで3時間で行け、対馬などの離島にも行けます。港のそばのタワーは無料で港の風景が楽しめます。
福岡市には人気の神社とお寺があります。東長寺は大仏と五重塔が特に外国人に人気です。櫛田神社は祇園山笠という大きな祭りも有名で、外国語のおみくじもあります。福岡には博多どんたくという大きなお祭りもあります。
またキャナルシティ博多で買い物や噴水ショーを楽しんだり、プロ野球を見たり、近くのVR 映像空間施設でのアクティビティ、ホラーアトラクション、博多町屋の施設での民芸体験、能古島でお花を楽しめます。
福岡市の傍には世界遺産の宗像大社や太宰府天満宮や猫の多い島が人気です。
福岡市では食べ物は屋台が有名です。ラーメン、もつ鍋、一口餃子、ごぼ天うどん、明太子入りのポテトサラダが人気です。
