お笑いコンビのアンガールズの山根さんが広島のテレビのロケでハネカクシという昆虫の新種を発見した。
山根さんが落ち葉から見つけた体長1センチにも満たない小さな虫を昆虫博士・千田さんが調査を進め、 その後国際的な学術誌が認定した。
新種の虫はRCCで山根さん達が見つけたロケを放映した毎週日曜日に放送中のバラエティ番組にちなんでモトナリと名付けられた。
