パリ・オリンピック（五輪）のバスケットボール男子決勝でフランスが米国に９８８７で敗れたことを受け、フランスのマクドナルドがかなりあからさまな反応を示した。
フランスのマクドナルドが翌日インスタグラムの公式アカウントに投稿したメッセージは、「明らかな理由から、このソースの廃止を検討しています」という投稿に添えられていたのは、「クラシック・カレー」味のソースの写真だった。
「これは昨日のバスケットボール競技とステフィン・カリー選手の大活躍にちなむ冗談です」。マクドナルドのフランス法人広報は、電子メールでＣＮＮの取材に答えてそうコメントした。
