映画のロケ地を表彰する「第15回ロケーションジャパン大賞」のグランプリに人気アニメ名探偵コナンの映画の舞台なった函館市が選ばれた。
去年の興行収入がナンバー１だった名探偵コナンの映画では函館の街並みが忠実に再現されていて映画を見た多くのファンが「聖地巡礼」に訪れた。
また長崎県の端島を舞台にしたTBS系の日曜劇場連続ドラマ「海に眠るダイヤモンド」の長崎市が、『準グランプリ』を受賞した
