「最も速い100m四足走行」は、2008年、いとうけんいちさんによる、20秒28の記録が初めて登録され、最新の記録は、2022年アメリカでコリン・マクルアさんに更新された15秒66となっていた。
今回四足歩行で最も速く100mを走るギネス世界記録に24日、鳥取県米子市の米江龍星さんが挑戦し、14秒55で、見事記録を更新した。
米江龍星さん（22）は、中学2年生のときから約9年間、四足歩行での100メートル世界記録更新を目指し、練習に励んできた。
