江戸幕府
江戸幕府は、江戸時代における日本の武家政権で、1603年に徳川家康が将軍になって、江戸を本拠として創立しました。
天下を統一した豊臣秀吉が1598年に亡くなると、徳川家康が天下取りを画策します。
そして豊臣政権を守りたい石田三成率いる西軍が家康率いる東軍と関が原で天下分け目の合戦を1600年します。戦いは家康の策謀で半日で終わりました。
勝った家康は西軍の大名の領地を取り上げたり減らしたりして東軍の大名や自分の家臣に分け与えました。
1603年に家康が征夷大将軍に任ぜられると江戸に幕府を開きました。自分の親類や直接の家臣を含めると20万人動員できる軍事政権でした。
家康は二年余りで将軍の地位を息子に譲り、世襲を確定させます。最晩年には秀吉の息子を滅ぼし日本の支配を確固たるものにしました。
東京の色んな所に江戸幕府ゆかりの所があります。神田明神や近くの甘酒屋に行ってはどうでしょう。
