愛媛県西予市野村町で、住民たちが手作りした高さが2024年に合わせ20.24メートルもある世界最大級の門松が設置され、ライトアップが始まった。

この門松は、廃校になった小学校に6年前から毎年設置しているもので、毎年1センチずつ大きくしていて、50日ほどかけて完成させた。

門松は、豊作や幸福をもたらす新しい年の神様を迎える道しるべとも言われ、この門松のライトアップは7日まで行われる。
