姫路城三の丸広場（兵庫県姫路市）の水路で「ど根性トマト」が見つかったという情報が神戸新聞姫路本社に寄せられた。
記者によると石垣の間からミニトマトのつるが伸びていて、緑色だが３センチほどの実も５、６個確認できた。
市緑の相談所によると、完熟した実をつついた鳥が落としたか、フンの中にあった種から育った可能性が高いという。
