龍安寺
龍安寺は、京都市右京区にある寺院です。
細川勝元が1450年に建てたこの寺は有名な石庭で知られています。「古都京都の文化財」として世界遺産に登録されています。
龍安寺には多言語パンフレットがあります。また英語の案内板もあります。
「虎の子渡し」という中国の逸話に基づいて作られたとされる石庭は日本を代表する枯山水庭園として知られています。
石庭の石の数は15個ですが、どこから見ても15個全てが見えない設計になっています。これはどんな人でも完璧な人はいないという事を示すといわれています。
龍安寺はオシドリが多くいる池や、古銭の形の手洗い場も有名です。
また龍安寺では湯豆腐も食べることが出来ます。さらに記念に、古銭のデザインの御朱印をもらったり、石庭のデザインのタオルも買えます。
また近くには同じく世界遺産の金閣寺、仁和寺、高山寺などがあります。龍安寺に行くことを勧めます。
