「きょうは青蓮院門跡におじゃましています。どうぞ心静かにお過ごしください」と合掌の姿勢を取り会話するのは“ブッダロイド”で京都大学などでつくるグループが開発したロボットだ。
ブッダロイド仏教の経典を学習させＡＩを搭載することで、人生相談などのさまざまな質問をわかりやすい言葉で答えてくれるという。
グループによると、すでにキリスト教では、修道女や天使などのロボットがあるということで、グループは今後、参拝者との対話など実用化に向けてさらに研究を進めたいとしている。
