山形県中山町で、御当地いも煮や、愛媛・島根など全国8種類の芋煮が振る舞われた。
なかでも未来の芋煮レシピコンテストが注目を集めて、最終審査にのこった3人のレシピが今までにない斬新さとその味を競った。
投票の結果、最優秀レシピに選ばれたのは、仙台市の平井友香子さんが発案した「芋煮×すももの出会い」だった。
