ＪＲ旭川駅では記念セレモニーが行われ聖火ランナーのトーチに見立てたラベンダーの花束が旭川市長に託された。

ラストイヤーとなるノロッコ号の運行は９月２３日までの予定で来年からは新たな観光列車「青い星」が誕生するということだ。
