今回のニュースは石川県のモニュメントイカキングのお話です。日本語訳載せときます。

石川県の能登町でイカ漁をPRするため作られたモニュメントが経済効果を生んでいる。

昨年3月に作られたモニュメントは全長13メートルで、イカキング(イカの王様)と名付けられ観光施設を訪れた人は写真撮影等で楽しんでいる。

当初は税金の使い方や額を批判する声もあったが、イカキングの経済効果は建設費の22倍を超えている。
