デンマーク北部のとある家でテラスを新設しようと庭の整備を進めていたところ、約700点からなる銀のバイキング時代の埋蔵品が出てきた。
北ユトランド博物館の声明によると、出土品には北欧神話の神トールが持つとされる小さなハンマーやブレスレット、硬貨47枚等が含まれていたという。
博物館の文化遺産責任者は、「規模もそうだが、それだけでなく、バイキング時代に銀がいかに富や支払い手段として機能していたかを明確に示している。」と説明した。
