別府温泉
別府温泉は、大分県別府市内各地に数百ある温泉の総称です。
温泉都市として知られる別府は、源泉数、湧出量ともに日本一です。
特に古くから由来のある八つの温泉地は別府八湯と呼ばれています。
別府八湯の中で特に有名なのは鉄輪温泉です。町の至る所から湯気が立ち上ります。観光施設も多く、山の手には温泉神社もあります。
明礬温泉では泥湯が楽しめ、美容によいと言われています。また亀川温泉では市営の砂湯が楽しめます。
別府には多くの見どころがあります。特に血の池地獄など温泉が作った地獄めぐりは人気です。
別府には鶴見岳へのロープウェイもあります。山頂からは瀬戸内海や四国も見ることが出来ます。
食事は大分名物のとり天やだんご汁、鉄輪温泉では地獄蒸しも食べられます。
お土産はザボンというみかんの砂糖漬け、ユーモラスな手ぬぐい、温泉を使った石鹸などがあります。別府に行って楽しんで下さい。
