今回は円山動物園のゾウのニュースです。日本語訳載せときます。
札幌市の円山動物園の赤ちゃんゾウの名前が先月から来園者による投票が行われ、ミャンマー語で輝きを意味するタオに決まった。
親ゾウ達の出身地ミャンマーの言葉5つから投票が行われ、4万7千票余りの内タオが約1万五千票を獲得し選ばれた。
来園者達は可愛らしく良い名で、二文字で呼びやすく親しまれると思うと歓迎していた。
