パンどろぼうとほっかほっカーは、全国の書店員3,000人が今年読んでほしい本を選ぶ「MOE絵本屋さん大賞2023」で1位を受賞した。
この作品は270万部売れた柴田ケイコさんのシリーズの一つで、ヤギのおばあさんに「孫にパンを届けてほしい」と頼まれ、パンどろぼうが奮闘する話だ。
彼女はパンどろぼうや手のひらサイズのパンダ等自分の描くキャラクターが自分の友達や心のよりどころになってくれるキャラクターと思っていただけたらと語った。
