オーストラリアでタスマニアタイガーを復活させるプロジェクトが始まった。
タスマニアタイガーは野生のものがいなくなり、動物園で飼われたが1936年オーストラリアから姿を消した。
多くの科学者は復活に懐疑的だが、メルボルン大学の教授は遺伝子操作を使って10年以内にタスマニアタイガーを復活させる事が出来るかも知れないと語っている。
