姫路城
姫路城は、兵庫県姫路市にある城で、現存12城の一つで国宝にもなっています。
日本で最初に世界遺産に登録された一つであり、ミシュランでも三ツ星を獲得しています。
コロナ前ですが、外国人が行きたい観光地の10位でかつ桜100選でも満足度一位になっています。
姫路城は大天守閣と三つの小天守閣がつながった構造になっています。お濠も防衛の為螺旋形になっています。
焼失した江戸城も同じ構造をしているので、姫路城はしばしば江戸城の代わりに時代劇のテレビドラマのロケに使われます。
美しい姫路城もかつては存亡の危機にありました。まず、明治時代軍用地として取り壊しの危機にあった時、陸軍の大佐が大臣に存続を上申し排気を免れました。
次に第二次大戦中、姫路も大空襲に遭い街中焼けましたが、城は焼夷弾が不発弾だったこともあって無事でした。どうぞこの幸運な世界遺産を見に来てください。
