豊岡市にある日本・モンゴル民族博物館では、モンゴルの民族楽器「馬頭琴」のコンサートや楽器の演奏体験などができるイベントが行われた。

市内の小学生が国語の授業で「スーホーの白い馬」を学習することから、子どもたちにモンゴルの文化に興味を持ってもらおうと、毎年実施されている。

子どもたちは、モンゴルの民族衣装デールの試着体験、天然石のブレスレットや羊毛アート作りを通してモンゴルの文化に触れていた。
