法隆寺
法隆寺は、奈良県斑鳩町にある寺院です。
法隆寺は7世紀に創建され、聖徳太子ゆかりの寺院です。
この寺は金堂、五重塔を中心とする西院伽藍と、夢殿を中心とした東院伽藍に分けられます。西院伽藍は、現存する世界最古の木造建築物群です。
法隆寺は法起寺と共に1993年日本で最初の世界遺産に登録されました。
法隆寺には数多くの国宝があります。五重塔や八角形の夢殿、玉虫を使った屋根付きの工作物、聖徳太子に似せたとされる観音菩薩像が有名です。
法隆寺周辺にもいろいろな見どころがあります。近くの中宮寺は刺繍が有名です。法起寺は聖徳太子の息子が建てたもので三重塔があります。藤ノ木古墳では石室を見ることが出来、副葬品は埋蔵センターで見られます。和歌で有名な川と公園もあります。
泊まるなら信貴山という聖徳太子を祀る虎で有名な寺院の宿坊が近くにあるので泊まってください。
