遠軽町は北海道の北東部、内陸側に位置しています。農耕地に適した環境として繁栄し、日本一の規模を誇るコスモス園が見ものです。遠軽では夏アスパラを出荷しています。じゃがいもや、シカ肉やヒグマの肉の缶詰が観光客に人気です。遠軽駅から徒歩約30分のコスモス園は、10ヘクタールの日本一の規模を誇ります。 全体を一望できる展望台もあります。
遠別町は、稚内から約90km南下した日本海沿いに位置します。日本最北の米作地で、夕陽の美しい町としても知られています。遠別町のもち米はコンビニのおこわ、日本酒にも使われます。また、ホタテや煮ダコなどの海産物やそれらを使ったコロッケも人気です。利尻富士と街並みを一望できる富士見ヶ丘展望台は、遠別町自慢の絶景ポイントです。原生花園は、6月にエゾカンゾウの鮮やかな黄色の花が一面に敷き詰められます。
雄武町は稚内と知床の中間地点にあります。雄武町は豊かな海産資源や広い大地から生まれる畜産資源の恩恵をうけた町です。雄武町の特産品のダッタンそばは寒冷地の北海道でも良く育ちます。毛ガニなどオホーツク海の海産物も豊富です。雄武川の支流にイナシベツの滝があり、崖から流氷が流れ落ちます。日の出岬には、ガラス張りの展望台があり、オホーツク海の水平線を一望できます。
大空町は、オホーツクの空の玄関「女満別空港」を擁し、四季の自然が豊かな町です。大空豚しゃぶ長芋丼はご当地グルメです。ほかにも、しじみ、チーズ、ハウスアスパラなどの特産品がたくさんあります。メルヘンの丘やひがしもこと芝桜公園など大空町の景観8箇所は360°に広がる北海道らしい景色を四季を通じて楽しめます。
