日本舞踊
日本舞踊は歌舞伎舞踊の技法を基本とした舞踊です。
男性だけの歌舞伎から派生し、女性による舞踊が加わったことが大きな特色です。お稽古事としても普及し、日本の伝統文化を支えてきました。
日本舞踊は、踊りと舞としぐさという三つの要素を持つのが特徴です。踊りは拍子にのるリズム的な要素が強く、舞はやわらかく、表現を内にこめることが基本となっています。
日本舞踊の魅力は、まず着物を着た動きの美しさにあります。また扇などの持ち物を持って豊かな表現をするのも日本舞踊の魅力です。
日本舞踊は各地で公園を見ることが出来ます。また外国人が和服を着て日本舞踊を体験する教室も行われています。
他に京都で芸妓さんや舞妓さんなどが踊る都をどりや鴨川をどり、沖縄の伝統的な琉球舞踊もあります。都をどりは英語イヤホンガイドも借りられます。
