昭和天皇の末弟だった三笠宮さまと結婚された百合子さまは4日、女性皇族最高齢の100歳の誕生日を迎えられた。
宮内庁によると、百合子さまは健康のため、午前中に15分程度、体操のテレビ番組などに合わせて運動をしているという。
百合子さまは誕生日に合わせた感想で、結婚生活で三笠宮さまら多くの人々に支えられたことに「深い感謝の念を抱きつつ思い起こしております」と記した。
