福岡市西区の「のこのしまアイランドパーク」では、アフリカンマリーゴールドという通常のものよりも花が３倍ほど大きなマリーゴールドが見ごろを迎えています。
このマリーゴールドを見るために、平日は１日５００人ほど、休日は１０００人を超える人たちが訪れていて、海外からの観光客の姿もあった。
マリーゴールドの見ごろは７月中旬ごろまで、指定エリアであればマリーゴールドを無料で摘み取って持ち帰ることもできるという。
