今年で５０回目を迎えるメモリアルイヤーの米子がいな祭を盛り上げようと、幻の「米子城」を復活、築城しようというイベントが始まった。

「バルーン米子城」は、高さ１１メートル、幅８メートルあり、標高９０メートルの城山のてっぺんに築城される。

築城に必要な大量の資材などは、約１００人のボランティアが分担し、１人が一度に約１３キロ分を背負って、山頂まで２～３往復する計算だ。
