今回は岡山県のニュースです。日本語訳載せときます。
岡山県津山出身の蘭学者、宇田川榕菴（うだがわようあん)らが翻訳した本のレシピを元にオリジナルのココアが開発され、販売が始まった。
津山観光協会の宮村さんによれば津山のことを「より知りたい」と思っていただけるきっかけとなる商品を作りたいと思って企画したという。
当時は胃や胸に効く薬だったというショコラートを飲んで日本の近代化の礎となった洋学者たちに思いを馳せてみてはいかがだろうか。
