日清食品は、植物由来の原料を使用し、うなぎのかば焼きの味と食感を再現した「謎うなぎ」をオンラインで販売すると発表した。
生地を白身層、中間層、皮層の３層に分け食感を再現し、本物のかば焼きからかたどった金型で蒸し、見た目も本物のうなぎに近づけた。
お湯を注いでご飯をつくる「カップメシ」に謎うなぎを使用した「謎うなぎ丼」も関東甲信越、中部、近畿地区限定で発売する。
