日本史上女性で初めて検察トップである検事総長に就任した畝本直美氏が記者会見で抱負を述べた。
女性として初めて検事総長に就いたことについて、彼女は「このポストに期待される役割は男性でも女性でも同じなので役割をしっかりと果たしていきたい」と答えた。
そのうえで彼女は「時代や社会が大きく変化している。誰もが働きやすい職場環境の構築にも取り組んでいきたい」と話した。
