東京大などのチームは31日、植物が光合成をする時に使う「葉緑体」をハムスターの細胞に移植することに成功したと発表した。
藻類から抽出した葉緑体をハムスターの細胞と共に培養すると、「 貪食」と呼ばれる作用で葉緑体がハムスターの細胞に取り込まれた。
チームによると、葉緑体内の膜が2日間は保たれていたほか、光を当てると、光合成の初期反応も確認された。
