ユネスコの世界遺産委員会は26日、奈良県の遺跡群「飛鳥・藤原の宮都」を世界文化遺産に登録すると決めた。
飛鳥・藤原は天皇の宮殿跡や仏教寺院等6世紀末〜8世紀初頭の飛鳥時代にできた計19の資産で構成される。
飛鳥宮跡と藤原宮跡を中心にキトラ古墳や高松塚古墳、石舞台古墳等も含まれる。
