ベルリンの動物園飼育でされているゴリラのファトゥが66歳の誕生日を迎え、世界最高齢の記録をさらに更新した。
平均寿命が40年というゴリラの中でかなり彼女は高齢で、歯がすっかり抜けても柔らかい果物等をゆっくり食べている。
彼女はフランスの酒場に船乗りの代金として受け渡され、最終的にベルリン動物園が購入するという数奇な人生を送っている。
