フィリピンの首都マニラで１月9日、キリスト教カトリック教徒の祭りとしては世界最大級の「ブラックナザレ祭」が開催された。
この祭りでは「ブラックナザレ」と呼ばれる黒い等身大のキリスト像が、はだしの信者たちに担がれ市街を練り歩く。
フィリピンでは、ブラックナザレ像には奇跡を起こす力があると信じられており、パレードの間、大勢の信者たちが像に触れようとして殺到した。
