三重県熊野市の丸山千枚田で、1年間稲を守ったかかしの供養が行われた。
棚田の保存会のメンバーが集まり、神社を参拝した後、23体のかかしに火をつけ、見送った。
保存会のメンバーは、かかしに「ありがとう」と声をかけながら手を合わせ、感謝の思いを伝えていた。
