レインボーブリッジなど東京のベイエリアを自転車で駆け抜けるイベントが23日行われ、自転車乗りおよそ4500人が参加した。
最長32キロのコースを走るこのイベントは、運動になって環境にも優しい自転車に親しんでもらうことが目的だ。
このうち８キロのレースには全盲で耳が聞こえない高校生が、伴走者と２人１組でこぐことができるタンデム自転車で初めてのレースに挑んだ。
