先天性無歯症を治療する「歯生え薬」の臨床試験（治験）を９月から始めると、北野病院（大阪市北区）などのチームが２日発表した。
チームはマウスの実験で、歯の成長を抑えているたんぱく質を見つけ、これを抑える薬を人に応用し２０３０年頃の実用化を目指している。
チームの一員である北野病院の高橋主任部長は「入れ歯、インプラントに続く第３の選択肢になるよう、研究を進めていきたい」と話した。
