6月９日、伝統的な手こぎ船で速さを競い、豊漁や航海の安全を願う「糸満ハーレー」が開かれた。
まず「御願バーレー」で、伝統の衣装を身にまとった３つの集落のこぎ手たちが手こぎの船「サバニ」で速さを競った。
また動物虐待ではないかと物議を醸したアヒルを捕まえる伝統行事「アヒラートゥーエー」もアヒル達に配慮して行われた。
