福島県矢吹町は3月25日、ホテルの運営会社と災害時にコンテナホテルの提供を受ける協定を福島県内で初めて結んだ。

4月24日、オープンするホテル「ホテルアールナインザ・ヤード矢吹」は普段はビジネスホテルとして運営されるが、地震や水害などが起きた場合、避難所として利用することができる。

運営会社の岡村社長は「一つはビジネスの拠点で使っていただくこと、ひとつは観光の拠点になれば良いなという風に考えております」と話した。
