出雲大社神楽殿で、長さ１３・６メートル、重さ４・７トンの日本最大級の大しめ縄が８年ぶりに掛け替えられた。
交換は「飯南町注連縄（しめなわ）企業組合」のメンバーが水田１・５ヘクタール分の稲わらを使い、３月から制作を進めてきた。
組合の菅代表理事は「きれいで立派な大しめ縄ができた。見た人が穏やかな気持ちになってくれればうれしい」と話した。
