満州事変
満州事変とは，日本軍が満州で南満州鉄道の線路を爆破し，中国に対して攻撃をしかけて，満州を占領したできごとです。
日本は1930年ごろ，世界恐慌で大変な不景気でした。軍部は鉄鉱石や石炭などがとれる原料供給地である満州の権益を拡大しようと軍事侵攻を考えました。
満州事変を計画した中心的な人物は、関東軍参謀の石原莞爾でした。
1931年9月に現瀋陽郊外の柳条湖で、日本の関東軍が南満洲鉄道の線路を爆破した柳条湖事件 に端を発します。
石原は自作自演の鉄道爆破事件を起こしそれを中華民国の仕業に仕立てることによって軍事侵攻の口実を作ろうとしました。
1932年2月に満州主要地域の軍事制圧が完了すると、1932年3月、満州に溥儀を元首とする傀儡政権が誕生します。清国再興も直接植民地にすると国際世論の反発があり、それを避けるための口実です。
その後、日本は満州国を認めない国際連盟を脱退し、事実上の満州国支配と国際的孤立の道を選び、ファシズム及び諸外国との戦争へと進みました。
