サッカーイングランド代表はフランスに負け、トロフィーを母国に持って帰れなかったが、代わりに猫を持って帰る。
イングランド代表の宿泊するホテルに一匹の野良猫が訪れ、デイブと名付けられたその猫は選手達の非公式マスコットになった。
ウォーカー選手かストーンズ選手の家族になる予定のデイブはカタールの病院で検査と注射し４ヶ月隔離された後、イギリスに向かうという。
