ジンギスカン
ジンギスカンとは羊を使った日本の焼肉料理です。
ジンギスカンは、北海道や東北の一部地域で一般的に食べられています。
ジンギスカンの名前の由来には諸説ある。日本の武将で源頼朝の弟の義経が海を渡ってジンギスカンになった事から想起されたという人もいます。
日本でジンギスカンが食べられるようになったのは、今から100年ほど前に、羊毛の自給を目指すため、羊を北海道で飼うことが計画され、羊毛に合わせ羊肉の消費を図ったことにあります。日本人に受け入れられる羊肉料理としてジンギスカンは開発されました。
ジンギスカンは独特の帽子のような鍋で野菜の上に羊肉を乗せて焼いて食べます。羊肉はたれに付け込んであるものと、たれに漬けこまず、焼いた後でたれにつけて食べるタイプがあります。
北海道では花見をしながらビールと共にジンギスカンを食べる人も多いです。私はあなたが北海道に行くときジンギスカンを食べるのを強く勧めます。
