今回は日本の地理のニュースです。日本語訳載せときます。

国土地理院は日本の島の数を36年ぶりに数え直した結果、6852島の2倍以上の1万4125島に上ったと発表した。

これは写真の画像等測量技術が進歩したからで、神奈川県の江の島は今迄2島だったが、今回だと7島になる。

今後は、政府の統計や学校などでこの数字が使われるようになる。
