月見
月見は、主に満月を眺めて楽しむことです。
特に日本の行事として、秋の真ん中である旧暦8月15日の満月にお供えし月を楽しむ「15夜」があります。9月中旬から10月上旬の時期は空気が澄んでいて特に月がきれいです。
月見は中国から平安時代に伝わり貴族の間で行われました。江戸時代には庶民も行うようになりました。
月見は元々その年収穫した里芋を感謝の意を込めてお供えしました。またススキは邪気を払い、または稲穂の代わりに月に供えられました。さらには里芋の代わり、あるいは月に似せたものとして団子が飾られます。
日本には月見の名所が多くあります。三大鑑賞地は京都の大沢池、奈良の猿沢池、滋賀の石山寺です。その他、松島や姫路城も月の名所です。
宮城には萩の月という有名な銘菓もあります。どうぞ月見を楽しんで下さい。
