Eニュース2023年5月27日高校生円周率新証明
今回は数学のニュースです。日本語訳載せときます。
兵庫県の西宮高校の４人が証明した「円周率の新しい求め方」が、オーストラリアの大学の数学雑誌に掲載された。
生徒が高校受験の問題集から着想を得たのは、「円の面積と内接する多角形の面積は近似する」というアイデアだった。
その生徒は「諦めないで続けていけば道は開ける、という自信につながった。これからも大好きな数学に関わっていきたい」と力を込めた。
