5日の朝、輪島市内の避難所で朝食の炊き出しが行われ、トルコ人の有志のスタッフによって温かい野菜スープが配られた。
支援を行った愛知県で建設会社を営んでいるムハメットさんは、東日本大震災や2021年の岐阜県の豪雨災害でも支援をしてきた。
本当にみなさん喜んでおかわりも何回も食べてくれ、子どもたちも何杯も食べて、いっぱい手伝いもしてくれ良かったとモハメッドさんは語った。
