生まれつき子宮が二つあるアメリカアラバマ州の女性が、それぞれの子宮で同時に妊娠した双子の赤ちゃんを無事出産した。
まず１９日午後７時、右側の子宮で妊娠していた女の子を分娩出産、次に２０日午前６時、左側の子宮より帝王切開で２人目の女の子が生まれた。
二つの子宮をもつ女性がそれぞれの子宮で同時に妊娠する確率は、一般的には２０億分の１程度とされるが、あまりにも珍しい症例のため確固たる統計はない。
