Eニュース2023年4月25日国内最古機関車復活

愛知県犬山市の明治村の149歳の蒸気機関車が20日、３年８か月の修理期間を経て、復活した。
この蒸気機関車は1874年にイギリスから輸入され、新橋と横浜の間を走行し、その後明治村に寄贈され、多くのお客さんに親しまれてきた。
運転を再開した蒸気機関車は当面３往復で、今後は、営業運行を積み重ねながら本数を増やしていく。
