北アルプスの山岳ルート、「立山黒部アルペンルート」ではトロリーバスが３０日の運行を持って廃止されることになり大勢の人が別れを惜しんだ。
日本で唯一のトロリーバスは、立山・室堂と大観峰のトンネル区間で運行されてきたが、廃止され来シーズンからは電気バスとなる。
室堂駅ではバスの運転士４人に記念の花束が手渡され、運営会社の職員などが「さよならトロリーバス」と書かれた横断幕を掲げ見送った。
