夏の訪れを前に兵庫県豊岡市の白磁の伝統工芸「出石焼（いずしやき）」の工房で、風鈴づくりが最盛期を迎えている。
出石焼の風鈴は、柔らかく澄んだ高い音色が特徴で、日本の文化を体感できる土産物として外国人観光客からも人気がある。
職人の永澤さんは「最近は猛暑の日が増えたので少しでも日本の伝統で涼を届けたいという思いで制作しています。」と話していた。
